Siglinde’s experience has been extensive both in the clinical and academic field of Nursing. She is both a Registered General Nurse and a Midwife with additional qualifications in Maternal and Child Health. Her career and experience has allowed her to work and travel to remote parts of Australia and work with Indigneous families. Siglinde was also commissioned to develop and write training material for the Lead Testing of children aged 6 months to 5 years in a mining community, a training manual specific to Indigneous Health Workers supporting their assessment in child health and development
Maternal and Child Health is grounded in a holistic, social model of health that brings together general nursing, midwifery, and specialist child health expertise. Our approach supports women, children, and families across the lifespan, recognising that wellbeing is influenced by medical, developmental, social, and environmental factors.
We provide trusted guidance that focuses on early identification, prevention, and support. Child health surveillance includes monitoring growth, development, and family wellbeing, ensuring any concerns are recognised early and referred to the appropriate health professionals when needed.
Our goal is to offer families a reliable, evidence-based service that promotes confidence, strengthens knowledge, and enhances long-term health outcomes.
